Mobile Game: The Drowned Deep

Drowned Deep is a 2D pixel-art roguelike where players dive into a mysterious, ever-changing underwater world in search of treasure. As the sole game designer and developer, I’ve built the game from the ground up in Unity using C#, crafting procedural environments, an oxygen-based survival mechanic, and a pressure system that limits how deep players can safely explore. Every dive presents new challenges, from lurking sea creatures to environmental hazards, making each run unique and rewarding.
Balancing gameplay depth with a hyper-casual approach has been a key focus, ensuring that Drowned Deep remains accessible while offering room for mastery. I’ve handled everything—from core mechanics and enemy AI to UI design—blending my technical skills with my passion for game design. By iterating on player progression, weapon variety, and enemy behaviors, I’m shaping a game that delivers engaging, replayable experiences. This project is not just a test of my skills but a labor of love, and I’m excited to share the journey as it evolves.
